When Selling A House...

Women, remember to put away all your bras. Don't leave them hanging in the laundry room. It causes my boys to make such comments like, "Look, Mamma, there's some ice cream cones like yours!"

T is For....

Touchdown Tuesday!!!!!

This week at school, the boys are studying the letter T. So in honor of the letter T, they are having Touchdown Tuesday today. They got to wear their favorite sports attire. And of course, we had exactly what was needed...their Crimson Tide football jersey. They wanted to wear the whole uniform...pants, shoulder pads, helmet but after a little convincing that the jersey was cool enough, they left as proud Roll Tide fans. I don't know who was prouder...JB or the boys. JB said that he just might shed a tear leaving them at school this morning.

Yes, I am lacking in the world of blog. I post more about my day and feelings on Facebook and forget that there are some of my readers who don't "do" Facebook. As my mother would remind me..."There are some of us from the lipstick age...not the Facebook age".

I recently posted on Facebook that I had been getting up at 5:30am to go workout. And today was my 4th day in a row to do this. I was asked by a friend, "what's your motivation?"

So my motivationS...notice the capital 'S' are:

My clothes are too tight. I can't afford a whole new wardrobe nor do I personally want to spend more money on clothes that are bigger. I would much rather spend money on clothes that are smaller in size.

I am paying for the gym, so again, I don't want to personally waste our money.

I tried to go at night. I found myself making more excuses not to go and really just couldn't always find the time. And the few times I went, I wasn't at my peak performance for exercising. So my exercising wouldn't be with much effort.

I have been dragging throughout the day. I know from experience that when I have exercised in the past, I have generally felt better throughout the day.

And most of all, I weigh the most I have ever weighed in my life. Not to make excuses, some of the weight gain is definitely from poor eating habits and lack of exercising, but after having twins and having Hypothyroidism, I can't live the lifestyle of eating what I want, when I want it and how much I I used to. I have to practice better portion control, better eating habits, and better exercising habits in order to loose and maintain a healthy weight for my age and height.

I don't know about other Stay-At-Home-Moms but since staying home, I have developed the habit of snacking. Watching TV with my boys, sitting in front of my computer designing monogram orders, sitting in front of my monogram's just become a habit to snack on something.

So not only am I trying to get into the habit of an early morning workout, I am also trying to curb other unhealthy habits that I have developed along the way.

I know some of you that have read this, knows this is not the first time I have blogged such great intentions. So, once again...I am attempting a lifestyle change to a healthier one. And again...we will see how much will power and discipline I have.
